INFINITE ABILITY
CEO Jayaton K. Thomas, formerly a para professional with the Los Angeles County Office of Education, Special Education Division, uses his 20 years of coaching high school basketball teams, camps, instruction and training to create a program that teaches these young hopefuls the skills required to attract the attention of athletic scouts. But the IASA influence doesn’t end on the court. IASA’s staff of sports professionals, educators, and sociologists run enrichment programs that encourage participants to stay fit, safe, and on track
Programs consist of fitness classes and cultural programs that are designed to keep kids in school, help them fight obesity, maintain wellness, provide awareness, and expand their minds. The program motto is “Mind, Body and Soul is your path to Infinite Ability, 110%”.
IASA demands that each participant commit to an academic path that aligns with their intellectual talents and abilities, maintains good grades, and treats everyone with the utmost respect so they can present themselves as talented, well-mannered, educated young men and women, that any university would be proud to have represent their school.
IASA targets populations of at-risk teens in high risk areas of South Central Los Angeles, the South Bay, Harbor, and surrounding cities of Compton and Inglewood. IASA focuses on children of low income, single parent households who often get into trouble due to lack of supervision and guidance that their over-worked, underpaid parent is unable to provide.
